On September 16th, the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon will bring together the best technological solutions created by young people from across the country, islands, Portuguese communities abroad, prisons, and educational centers, demonstrating that innovation knows no borders. Twenty-eight finalist teams will present solutions that address real challenges: sustainability, social inclusion, mental health, environmental protection, accessible mobility, safety, employability, and other topics. We’ll also have the opportunity to learn about the winning solutions from the Electronics for All category, supported by Synopsys, and the UpComing Educators category, developed by young university students who inspire the next generation of teachers.

HAWK (Helping Around With Kindness) – Escola Básica 2º e 3º Ciclos Dr. Horácio Bento Gouveia
An app designed for the elderly and people with reduced mobility. It offers help with household chores, medical follow-ups, shopping, and leisure activities. All without leaving home! It works with the collaboration of volunteers and local organizations.

StressControl – Escola Secundária Dr. Ginestal Machado, Santarém
An app that addresses young people’s emotional well-being through tutorial videos, authentic sharing, and practical tips by the students themselves. With accessible language and an intuitive platform, it promotes empathy, active listening, and self-care in schools. A space for your mental health, without taboos or barriers.

Bem estar no refeitório – Jardim Infantil da Quinta dos Bacelos
An app that encourages calm and mindful behavior in school cafeterias through challenges and games. It helps create a healthier and more peaceful environment for everyone.

The mente – Escola Secundária D. Dinis, Coimbra
An app with versions adapted for both users and caregivers. It offers cognitive stimulation games, tools for simple communication, and accessible educational content. It makes caregivers’ lives easier and promotes the well-being of those being cared for. More interaction, better quality of life.

FinBestie – Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves, Valadares, Vila Nova de Gaia
A fun and visual app to explain finance to young people! We use short videos, infographics, and real-life examples — like planning a trip or understanding taxes. Our app makes economic terms simple, engaging, and less intimidating! With youthful language and useful content, it helps build healthy financial habits early on.

Ritmo Certo – Escola Básica Diogo Cão, Vila Real
An app that automatically records students’ times in the MegaSprint using affordable sensors made with the “Electronics for All” Kit. It allows results to be analyzed by student and by class, motivating learners and making teachers’ work easier. Cost-effective and tailored to school settings.

An app that connects young people to job opportunities in Mozambique. It lets them create profiles, search for nearby jobs, and access useful information to build skills and enter the job market with confidence.

Mãos à Obra – Escola Básica Júlio Brandão, Vila Nova de Famalicão
Find electricians, painters, carpenters, and more! Based on geolocation, availability, price, and reviews, this app allows scheduling and direct chat, making contact easier and building trust between users and professionals.

MOB.in – Escola Secundária Fernando Namora, Amadora
Mob.In is a smart device that promotes mobility and safety for visually impaired people, helping them detect obstacles and move around independently. With sensors and sound alerts, it’s an accessible solution designed for urban and school contexts.

MobEase – Escola Secundária Adolfo Portela, Águeda
MobEase is a collaborative app that helps people with reduced mobility find accessible places, like restaurants, services, or tourist spots. With an interactive map and community reviews, it provides reliable and useful information. Simple, inclusive, and truly user-focused.

SeniorTech – Escola Secundária Dr. Joaquim Gomes Ferreira Alves, Valadares, Vila Nova de Gaia
This app supports seniors in using technology with visual tutorials, local technicians, and scam alerts. It addresses digital loneliness by offering personalized support, safety, and confidence. Combining security, digital literacy, and human help, it promotes digital inclusion for the elderly in a simple and effective way!

Welcome To Portugal – Escola Básica Júlio Brandão, Vila Nova de Famalicão
An app to support immigrants! It helps foreigners integrate in Portugal with a virtual assistant for legal processes, housing and job filters, document translation, and country-specific communities. It offers maps with useful locations and real-time help — all in one accessible and multilingual platform.

Water Shield – Escola Secundária de Nelas
A misting system activated by sensors or manually, creating a water shield without damaging facades. It uses rain or well water, automatically alerts firefighters, and includes an evacuation plan. Sustainable and effective for buildings and industries.
